Artist Statement: Growing up in Ohio was a unique experience. The farmlands and cornfields were a common sight, and it was easy to take them for granted. But now that I'm older and living somewhere else, I find myself missing those simpler times.

One particular memory I have is of a winding dirt roads. Whenever I see a painting or photo of a similar road, it takes me back to those good old days. I can almost feel the warmth of the sun on my skin and the cool breeze in my hair as I walk down that road, heading home.

It's funny how something as simple as a dirt road can hold so much meaning and nostalgia. But I think that's part of what makes life so beautiful - those little moments and memories that stay with us long after they're gone.

Whenever I'm feeling homesick or nostalgic for Ohio, I like to look at that painting of the winding dirt road. It reminds me of where I came from and the person I used to be. And even though I can't go back in time, I can hold onto those memories and cherish them forever.
